Our History
Credit where credit is due, to those who came before us.
Ridge Logging formally began in 1992 by Brian Forkner. Brian was born into a logging family who’s roots were in Nevada County. Brian’s family participated very hands on in the development of Cedar Ridge and the Brunswick Basin. He was taught logging work by his family and business by his mother who owned Fall Creek Logging. Brian began his offshoot company at age 18 with a track loader, a chainsaw, a pair of logging boots, and two trusted mentors.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is that timber is the most clean, sustainable, and renewable resource available. We believe that no man made product or chemical induced material can rival the use of natural wood. Ridge Logging is a trusted steward of our land seeking and sets the highest example of quality work with generations of time honored skill, and tradition.
